Some of these beads are chipped (and one is cracked in half - see photos) and have a rather comprehensive mottled pattern and finish from hundreds of years of wear

Hand faceted in Czech republic on the late 1800's, these beads are a rich transparent amber, and were traded in Nigeria. 60 beads on the strand. Rare! Most beads in excellent condition, but some are chipped. Some shiny and some matte.
