1893 Chicago Worlds Fair Uxmal Ruins Anthropology Bldg. ORIGINAL HISTORIC FAI4 XGFA8 This is an original 1952"The Ruins of Uxmal." This is an original 1893 halftone print of the ruins of Uxmal at the 1893 Chicago Worlds Fair. Edward H. Thompson, U. S. Consul to Yucatan went into the jungles of Uxmal, Labua, and Copan, and made papier mch molds of many of the tablets and ruins of the region. The tablets were displayed in the Anthropological Building. (Please note that, typical of halftone prints, there is printing on the reverse.) Period Paper has obtained a
