1875 Chromolithograph 18th Century Ceiling Versailles Rococo Design Garland LOR1 XAB6 " President of the SwissThis is a rare original 1875 color chromolithograph that depicts one of the beautiful Rococo ceilings from a small bathroom at Versailles, which made by part of the quarters lived in by the Princess of Conti. A unique feature of this illustration, which may be difficult to see in the digital image, is the use of gold ink that not only shimmers when it catches the light but also accentuates some of the finer details which might otherwise be missed.
