1906 Print Myles Birkett Foster Village England Night Moon Tree Forest XAT7 Black Americana maker of the Desk ModelThis is an original 1906 black and white halftone print of a scene from an English village. The original sketch in this print was created by Myles Birket Foster (1825 1899) who was an English watercolor artist and illustrator. He was born in North Shields, England, to a Quaker family. Foster was apprenticed to a wood engraver named Ebenezer Landells and worked as an illustrator for books and periodicals. He is also known for his landscapes which he
